Program Overview
The 600-hour Hybrid Medical Assistant Program at Coastal Career Academy provides students with a well-rounded education in both clinical and administrative medical assisting. This program combines online learning with hands-on training and includes a 160-hour clinical externship in a medical practice, where students gain real-world experience working alongside healthcare professionals. The curriculum covers essential skills such as patient care, medical office procedures, and laboratory techniques. Upon completion, students are prepared to sit for the national certification exam, positioning them for success in a variety of healthcare settings, including clinics, hospitals, and private practices.
