The Hybrid Certified Medical Assistant program is a 24-week Inp program. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for both administrative work and medical assisting. You will be trained on the clinical side of these responsibilities, such as measuring a patients height, weight, and vital signs, recording their medical history, preparing examination rooms, and disinfecting medical instruments. Students will also be administering medications and preforming electrocardiographs, giving injections, and performing laboratory procedures. After completion of the training students will take the National Health-career Association (NHA) exam or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) exam to become certified and licensed.

Applicants must be 17 years of age. (if the applicant is under 18 years of age the student enrollment agreement must be sign by his or her parent or guardian).

Class Requires

  1. TB/PPD(less than 1 year)
  2. immunization records
  3. High school diploma or its equivalent
  4. Medical insurance card
  5. Proof of Physical Exam (within one year)

Course Description

This program is designed to train students for the administrative and clinical duties routinely performed in health care facilities. Medical assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Duties vary with the location, specialty, and size of the practice.Most medical assistants work in physicians’ offices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

Additional fees may include uniforms, testing fees, CORI check, drug testing, course equipment. To begin the enrollment process a $50. Non-refundable deposit is required.
